For over twenty years, led by its founder and musical director Thomas Van Haeperen, Sturm und Klang has been dedicated to the creation and sharing of contemporary music. What would an association of composers be without its interpreters? Since its inception in 2002, the Forum de la Création Musicale has been able to grow thanks to the complicity of musicians with whom it has forged long-term collaborations. The Ensemble Sturm und Klang and its conductor Thomas Van Haeperen, major players in contemporary music in the Federation Wallonia Brussels, have from the outset approached a large number of new works through interpretations whose relevance and precision have proven over the years to be equal to unwavering artistic commitment. The Forum de la Création Musicale and Sturm und Klang have in a way grown together, and it goes without saying that as we celebrate our 20th anniversary by releasing a series of recordings, our association dedicates its first box set to one of its closest partners
